San Mateo Daily Journal, August 23, 2021 Full-time San Mateo city employees who worked during the early part of the pandemic are in line to get $2,000 bonuses in recognition and appreciation of their work, after City Council approval at its Monday, Aug. 16 meeting.
“We’re thinking carefully about how our city can show our appreciation for the commitment all of our employees have shown during the pandemic, while also being mindful of the pandemic-related fiscal challenges we are facing. And I personally believe that this strikes the right balance and it’s the right thing to do,” Mayor Eric Rodriguez said. (Read Article)
